Too funny!

My friend Lisa found this website where you can add your face (or someone's face) to pictures. The picture below is of Brayden if he doesn't stop growing. ;-) Stay tuned for a few more since I am home alone and Brayden is asleep.

Brayden's friend Michael

Yesterday we had a family play date with Brayden's friend Michael (and Michael's parents Lisa and Scott). It was so much fun watching the two boys together. We are hoping that one of these days they will actually acknowledge one another. ;-)

This was the closest they got to interacting with each other.

Holding hands (or arms) SO CUTE!!!

Brayden was fascinated with their new ceiling fan.

Both boys are still working on sitting up. They are getting so close!

Playing

Brayden has really become interested in his toys. He is so fun to watch.

Brayden likes playing with his new toy from his cousins Jeff and Leslie. He likes Elmo, but Cookie Monster scares him.

Brayden has been trying to play sitting up by himself, but he is a bit unstable.

Oh, there we go, finally sitting.

Brayden learning how to use his new food toy. Yummy apples!

Apple goes in my mouth, finger goes up my nose!

Mmmm, not bad!

I wonder if the plastic tastes yummy too.

Green Beans

Yesterday my cousin Shelly was commenting how I hadn't updated in a while, so I thought I better get some updates going. Truth be told, I misplaced the camera in the bottom of the diaper bag for a few days. ;-) Jeff and I were also pretty out of it for about a week with head colds and the stomach flu. We are back on track now so here are the updates:

Green Beans!

He likes green beans, but he has learned how to blow raspberries while eating, and it makes the food go EVERYWHERE! Such a mess, but just too cute!

Bad manners

Brayden has picked up a new habit of putting his feet up on the table. I know it is bad manners, but it is so cute. Maybe I am a bad mom, but instead of removing his feet, I take his picture!!! ;-)

Ok, so this isn't a bad manners picture, but this was one of us reading tonight. Is it just me, or does my son's head look bigger than mine???

Something different...

After years of the exact same hair, I was convinced to try something different. I wanted an easy "mom" hair style, but I didn't want it to look like a "mom" style. I wanted something I could wash and wear. Today I got a body wave put in my hair. I was so scared to change what I have known for so long (if you know me at all, you know I am not a big fan of change). It has taken all day to get used to but I think I might actually like it. At least I do for now, until Tuesday when I go to work and all of my overly-honest first graders ask me "What did you do to your hair?" Gotta respect their brutal honesty. Well, here it is, please don't be cruel!

Giggling

We had Grandma Gloria over for dinner a few nights ago, and Brayden was in a very giggly mood. I love his little laugh. Please excuse our cheesiness, we will do just about anything for a giggle!

Mr. Amazing!

"Why yes, I AM amazing!"

"Momma has been sick, so I am just vegging with her on the couch!"

"I like playing with toys in my high chair while momma makes my food. She is making green beans today. They really stink!"

"My favorite thing to do is throw my toys on the floor and watch momma pick them up. Boy do I have her trained!"

Squash!!!

I made some butternut squash for Brayden this week and we couldn't wait to see how he reacted to it. Neither Jeff nor I are squash fans, but we were hoping Brayden might like it.

"Hmm...what is this squash you speak of?"

"Momma, that doesn't taste very good!"

"No, really momma, that isn't good."

"Well I guess food is food, I can keep eating!"

"Squash isn't my favorite, but I guess I can eat it."

Home made sweet potatoes!

Last week we tried home made sweet potatoes. The store bought ones are bright orange; I think they use yams.I used real sweet potatoes. He still LOVED them.
