Chillin with Pa

His first time eating watermelon. He did seem to like it (despite his face)

Brayden would beg everyone to put his shoes on and take him outside. Pa was often the one suckered into it. ;-)

We rented bikes and a bike trailer one day and rode around the ranch. Brayden loved it. When we stopped he kept saying "go, go" he even fell asleep after about an hour. We just might have to get one of these trailers for home.

Brayden doesn't care much for water. We could only get him near the water if we were holding him. He did not want to go in at all.

I know it has been a long time since my last post. July has been a crazy month with four family trips and Brayden's first big illness. We also had his first trip to the ER. So here are a few pictures from the past two months.

Videos

I try not to be one of those moms who is always bragging about their child, but I just had to share these videos. Brayden loves his numbers and letters. It all started with these puzzles I got him. Now he points out numbers and letters everywhere. He knows almost all of his letters, although they aren't all pronounced perfectly yet. This video was taken a few weeks ago, and since then he has filled in most of his gaps. You have to listen very carefully to hear Brayden. Enjoy.


This is the second half of the alphabet. His attention span isn't great yet.


This shows the puzzle that he loves. He has learned the letters by tapping them on my leg. He started it because I always sing/chant the letters and tap them on my leg like they are dancing. Now when he wants to know what a letter or number is, he taps it to my leg. Odd? Yes. But I guess it works.


Here is a video of Brayden with his number puzzle. He does well in the beginning but loses interest quickly.

I haven't been taking many pictures lately. Brayden moves so fast these days it is hard to keep up. Here is one of him on his truck smiling. Oh how I love that face!

Easter

I know this is a little late, but with our Hawaii trip, I have just now gotten around to getting the pictures off the camera.

Brayden's Easter basket came in the form of a dump truck filled with toys this year. He is allergic to everything in Easter candy so he got fun toys instead. I don't think he minds.

He loved putting all of the eggs from the hunt into his truck and pushing it around. Good times!

Brayden's first race

In April Brayden participated in his first race. It was a 5K. He was registered under his own name too! His daddy took first in his age group and Brayden was just happy to participate. To be honest, he wasn't really running, but rather enjoying a nice ride in his stroller (which I pushed!). Go team!

Easter Bunny

Brayden was very curious about the Easter Bunny. The photographer tried to snap some pics of Brayden getting to know the Easter Bunny.

Brayden found this pink bunny on the bench and kept taking it to the Easter Bunny.

Brayden was great sitting on his lap. He doesn't sit still long but he was happy on his lap.

Bumbo

I pulled out Brayden's bumbo chair to loan to a friend. Brayden loved getting his bum stuck.
