Blankie

Brayden likes to carry his blankie around with him now. He likes to shake it in front of the mirror and laugh.

Cereal bar

Brayden had his first cereal bar yesterday. He loves being able to hold it and take bites.

His new thing is sharing. He loves giving momma and daddy his food. What a good sharer.

Gym class

Brayden loves his class at the Little Gym. We go every Monday and he gets to play with his "friends" and explore this very fun gym. He enjoys climbing on the mats and beams and crawling through the tunnels, but his favorite is the bubble maker!

We do sit ups and rolls with Brayden on my belly. It is a good exercise for me and Brayden enjoys it too! He likes rolling with Momma down the wedge too.

Remote

These aren't the best pictures, but Brayden loves picking up the remote and walking around with it. He shakes it and laughs. Check out his face in this first picture.

Fabulous fall days

Last week Brayden and I went to the library and found out it was closed. We decided to check out the playground and the fountain since it was such a beautiful day. Brayden loved the fountain!

Walking

I know videos capture it better, but here are some still shots of Brayden walking. He doesn't stand still for long anymore, so this was the best I could do.
He is so proud of himself!

Books books and more books

Brayden and I love children's books. He has a whole book case of board books in his room and this smaller box downstairs. He loves to pull them out until he finds what he wants to look at. Then he flips through the pages as if he were actually reading. His favorite book is Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? by Dr. Seuss. When he grabs that one he says "Boom boom". He loves the page that says, "Boom, boom, boom, Mr. Brown is a wonder, Boom, boom, boom, Mr. Brown makes thunder." He always repeats the boom boom boom part. Super cute! Here are some pictures of his book mess. I hope to be able to teach him the art of organizing books soon. ;-)

A boy and his daddy

Right before nap time Jeff was holding Brayden on his lap to watch something on the computer. Brayden was so tired and snuggly. He is always on the move now days so we treasure these moments.

This was just a random close up I took last week. Just curious who you think he looks like. I still think he is a mini Jeff.

Auntie Manda

Incase you can't read his shirt, it says, "I can't help it, good looks are in my genes, just look at my aunt." Grandma and Gramps got him the shirt in Sisters.

More videos

He has gotten so good at walking. I don't have to be a helicopter any more. I am such a proud momma!

New toy

Since Brayden is walking now, he is bored with his small toys so we decided to get him an early birthday present. He loves it. It is a kitchen.

WALKING!!!!

Our "baby" has been "walking" now for about 3 weeks. He started walking before he could stand up solo, so he is still a bit wobbly, but he loves walking. I hold his hand most of the time, but he is happier solo. We still act as his helicopter incase of spills, but he is improving each day. The first two videos are shorter because I was recording and spotting him. The second two feature Jeff as the helicopter. Enjoy!

Brayden and his friend L

We went out to lunch with our friends the other day. Our boys both have matching airplane shirts so of course we had to snap some pictures. They weren't too interested in the pictures.

It sure is difficult to get a 2 and a half year old and a 10 month old to smile at the same time.
