Michael and Brayden
Brayden and I went to the zoo with our friends Lisa and Michael. We had fun. It was great to go to the zoo with another mom of a baby Brayden's age. We were there 2 hours and we were all ready to go. The boys almost interacted together and sat nicely so the mommas could eat lunch.

Happy Birthday America
My All American Dude would like to wish you all a Happy 4th of July!

Our fireworks extravaganza! Yes we know it is light out, but Brayden needed to get to bed, so 6:30 seemed like a great time for fireworks! He actually liked watching the sparks. Shelly, Mike and the kids helped us pop some pop its!

Shelly had to help Maddie not set anything on fire with her sparkler. I think she just about lit Jake, a car, and her own hair on fire. ;-)

The kids and their glow sticks. (And no, Jeff didn't have to pee, he was just crouching down to get Brayden closer to Jake and Maddie)

After Brayden's nap, we all took a snack break. We had elephant ears while Brayden had O's and juice.

Brayden wanted out of his stroller so we let him use his new Walking Wings. The kids already wants to run!

Daddy and Brayden about ready to watch the Birds of Prey show (although these days it is called something different).

Our friend Aaron joined us at the zoo. I convinced him to get an elephant ear. Yum yum!

Animals
We took Brayden on his first (of many) zoo adventure on Saturday. We went very early (8:30) and found that although the zoo is empty and you can get rock star parking, many of the animals are not awake or even in their cages. We still enjoyed ourselves and here are some of the animals that we DID see.

Baby Sam, the elephant that was born last August

This monkey did some very bad things. Naughty monkey!
