Time for a walk around Summer Lake
Brayden loves his toys from Grandma's house. This creepy thing is a pig with wires coming out of it.
Creepy...

Another grandma day
We have been really busy lately, so these pictures are from the camera of Grandma Gloria. Thanks Grandma for helping us stock the blog.
To update you on Brayden's latest, he said his first word Friday. After all my work saying "Momma" all day every day, Brayden looked at Jeff and gave him a nice, clear "Da-Dee". It wasn't a dadadada, it was a clear Da-Dee. Jeff had come over to Brayden and that was the only thing he said. We thought it might be a fluke, until today when he repeatedly said "Da-dee" when Jeff got home. Grandma Gloria was our witness. I have to say, the best part was watching Jeff's face every time Brayden said his name. He was so excited. So here I am, patiently waiting for my "Momma".
Brayden is trying really hard to crawl. He isn't there yet, but he sure is working on it.
"Hmm, I wonder if I should be a football player..."
"Maybe I will be a quarterback."
"Look, I have TWO teeth now."
His second tooth broke last week and he has been much happier. I don't see anymore on deck, so hopefully we have happy Brayden for a little while longer.

Bite me!
Guess what we have??? A week and a half ago Brayden cut his first tooth. It is his bottom front tooth. His next one is right there, I am sure it will cut here soon. I have been trying to get a picture of it, but he is too quick for me. This was the best I could do.
No momma, I don't want to show my tooth.
If you ignore my fingers and look closely in his mouth, you can see the small white tooth. It helps if you click on the picture and make it big. Maybe eventually he will let me get a better shot, but this will have to do for now.

"Sober sitting"
Brayden has really been practicing his sitting. He is doing more of what our good pal Joe calls "Sober sitting". In other words, he doesn't look so tipsy.
"Hey mom, look, I figured out how to use my feet to get my toy. Watch."
"See, got it!"
"I love my laptop, I wonder how it tastes."
"Come on mom, enough with the pictures."
He looks like he was busted looking at something bad on his computer. ;-)

Trying to crawl
He started out by the books on the red blanket. He was trying to scoot towards the toys, but went backwards.
I bribe him with his 3 favorite things (mine too); the remote, my iphone and his astronaut book.
He pushes up to scoot, but sadly only goes backwards.
I move the toys a bit closer...
But frustration overtakes him and he rolls over and gives up. :-(
